For 50 years, we've has been at the heart of competitive swimming in Fleetwood, dedicated to nurturing young swimmers from their early strokes at age 7 through to high-level competition up to age 21. We’re proud to offer a structured pathway that supports swimmers at every stage of their journey, from technique development and endurance training to competitive achievements at local, regional, and even national levels.

Based at the YMCA Fleetwood, our club is more than just a training ground—it's a close-knit community where athletes grow, connect, and challenge themselves. Here, swimmers have the chance to participate in both team and individual events, competing with top clubs from across the North West and beyond.

Beyond the pool, many of our members also compete in biathlons and triathlons, taking their skills to new arenas and setting ambitious goals. At Fleetwood Makos, we believe in helping young athletes reach their potential, fostering discipline, resilience, and a love for the sport.
