Well Done Makos! 
A huge well done to every Mako who took part at the Preston Super Sprint today. It was fantastic to see so much determination, effort and team spirit on show as we kicked off our 2026 racing season.
It was a brilliant day of racing for the club, finishing with an impressive medal haul of:
12 Gold | 
2 Silver | 
1 Bronze
12 Gold | 2 Silver | 1 Bronze
There were some excellent performances across the board:
- swimmers achieving PBs,
- swimmers improving on county times they already held,
- and several who came so close to county qualification β keep pushing, it will come.
Special shout-out to Stanley An outstanding day for Stanley, who achieved not one but TWO county consideration times β his first ever! A huge milestone and thoroughly deserved. Brilliant achievement 
Finally, a big thank you to our volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly β Les, Helen, Kerry and Nicki. Your support poolside and behind the scenes is hugely appreciated and makes days like this possible.
Weβre incredibly proud of how everyone represented Fleetwood Makos β supporting each other, racing hard, and showing resilience throughout the day.
